Narrow Thumbturn & Release

Bathroom turns and releases are used with a to provide controlled privacy from the inside, whilst allowing emergency access from the outside using a coin or small screwdriver. Coin access is through a visible outside mechanism whilst screwdriver access is through a swing cover escutcheon plate.

These accessories can be supplied in a variety of finishes, and to special order, can be supplied as a split finish, where the inside turn  typically matches the polished chrome or polished nickel bathroom fittings, and the outside release matches the general finish of the door furniture in the rest of the house.

The inside locking turn is sometimes referred to as a “snib”.

In new builds, outside releases are now mandatory.

Comes complete with fixing screws and a 5mm spindle.
